It’s April, can you feel the warm sun on your face? — me too! It can only mean one thing… Festival season is upon us! With Coachella right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to experiment with hairstyles that we would normally shy away from. So, my festival lovers keep on reading because I’ve got you covered, learn how to take these 5 trends and make it your own this season!

FISHTAIL BRAIDS

Braids are pretty much a staple at any festival, my favorite has to be fishtail braids. They are super adorable and are a totally versatile, yet a practical hairstyle idea for music festivals. Take boring ponytails or pigtails for example, add a fishtail braid and you just created a next level look for Coachella!

2. GLITTER ROOTS

I mean… How cute is this look? This is a fun way to add personality to a classic festival look. To get this look, mix your favorite glitter with hair gel, and apply to your roots with a brush. This look can be paired with braids, buns or a classic wave; get creative and add fun glitter shapes while you are at it!

3. SPACE-BUNS

When you think Coachella fashion don’t you get a 90s feel? It’s all chokers, crop tops and platforms…so why not rock 90s inspired hairstyles?! Space-buns are making their own comeback; we’ve seen Miley Cyrus sport it and now you can make it the perfect addition to your Festival look. You can either wear all or half your hair up, add dutch braids, a fun zig-zag part, or glitter at the roots.

4. VIKING BRAIDS

Let’s just say braids on braids will be a thing at music festivals this year. Try incorporating this Viking inspired trend into the mix with dutch , fishtail, cornrow,middle part braids…I mean I can go on forever!

When all else fails, look to a messy boho inspired beach wave. Its super easy and almost effortless to achieve.
