The Beetle’s Last Words

I complained to a beetle today as he walked along his way. “So much work to do! So little pay! Oh how hard I work! Oh how people hate!” “Oh my” said the beetle, “What a burden to bear” not noticing the spider web he was drawing near. “Plus I never have fun, I can’t trust a soul, I’m hungry and tired. I’m losing control.” “Oh my” said the beetle, “What a burden to bear” not noticing the spider standing right there. “I’m tired of life!” I continued to vent. “I’ll end it right here! It’s over! I’m spent.!” “Oh my” said the beetle “What a burden to bear” as he took his last breath I realized why I’m here.
