Whether or not this a simple comedic sketch or actual true emails, I understand your frustration with the lack of response. I was once working within a community organization, trying to book a guest speaker to come talk with us about his work. It would have been a mutual beneficial event, but my emails were promptly ignored. It wasn’t until I publicly confronted him via social media, that he came to his own defence, claiming that he was, in fact, “too busy” to respond to my emails. I can’t stress the importance to responding to emails, even if it simply to decline an invitation. Lack of response makes you look bad. I would much rather have a simple negative response than nothing at all. Any if anyone is truly “too busy” to manage emails, please consider using an automated email responder or hire a personal assistant to do so.
