That’s basically why Google has design guidelines, including huge free set of universal icons to use in apps. Many many apps on Android already for long time looks similar as to UX— the way people who designed Android figured the most useful UX & UI for Android—and it is very good since I do not need to learn new UX with every new app. iOS apps, as usual, are late to the innovation party.
