I really appreciate your perspective and contribution. At the time that you took your photograph, I was begining a 45-year prison term for my role of trafficking in cocaine. I began making bad decisions when I was 20. I paid a heavy price for making those bad decisions when our nation was launching the War on Drugs. I’m so glad to see people with your wisdom contributing to the dialogue today. Perhaps you would consider adding your story to Earning Freedom, a publication I launched to bring more awareness to the prison system. I’m adding you as a writer.
