Don’t you wish you
were a child again?
When pain was something new
Before you knew the difference between rich and poor
When everyday was a learning experience
Your imagination and thirst for
Creating was budding
Racism was nothing
Because you didn’t see skin color
You just saw other kids
Living life care free
Just like you
Everything you were taught
Seemed like the truth
Don’t we all want to be kids
Again?
When everything was handed to us
Because we were adorable
As a child
Stress, heartbreak, and disappointment Only I cider
When we couldn’t get candy
Or that new toy we begged for
Being a kid was simple
Life now is the polar opposite
Just for one day
I would love to be a kid again
