Do you remember as a kid going to school and about two months into the school year, already counting down the days till summer break?
The more you think about it, the further it seems to get?
Summer break became a mirage in the desert, slowly fading each day even though you knew it was coming.
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway” — Earl Nightingale
Where was Earl when I was in grade school!?
But… no matter how long it felt, summer break always came through.
It has been a long time since my school years but there’s a lot of “Summer breaks” I am still working towards.
I have goals with plans to achieve them and I have dreams that I want to live out.
I have learned a long time ago the importance of knowing exactly what you want out of life. The importance of visualization. The absolute necessity to have a direction and a vision.
Without a specific direction, you don’t get far.
However, this comes with a pain of it’s own.
The pain of knowing exactly what you so badly want but not being able to have it yet.
The pain of seeing others reach their dreams while yours is still just that, a dream.
The more you think of it, the further it seems to slip away. Like chasing the end of the rainbow.
We all face this and it sucks like hell but you can’t quit chasing!
One thing always keeps me going and it is the thought of what I will face if I ever dare to quit.
A life of wondering “what if”.
You and I have those dreams that have now turned into what feel like mirages but remember, do not stop chasing them.
Summer break is coming.
There is a better way to live!
