Considering Winding Down? Don’t: It’s a Jim Rohn / Richard Pryor Year-End Mash-up, with a Little Grant Cardone for Good Measure
I just had a 10X Rule moment and had to check myself. If you’ve read Grant Cardone’s 10X Rule you’ll recognize this, and if you haven’t, then definitely check it out as it has some great tips to take action to 10X your business from wherever you are now.

So back to kicking myself in the arse. This month I have almost doubled the amount of Her Power Hustle Podcast episodes downloaded/listened to in any given month since I launched in February of this year. By mid-month this month I was feeling myself and set a goal that was really lofty.
As of today’s download numbers it would take a huge shift for me to hit the goal (basically requiring 144 new listens Every.Single.Day from now until 11/30 — which, most podcasters know, is not easy [According to Rob Walch VP of Podcaster Relations at libsyn.com (the largest podcast media hosting company) in September of 2013 a podcast episode that has been live approximately 30 days averages 141 downloads. If you have over 3400 downloads you are in the top 10%. If you have over 9000 downloads you are in the top 5%. Lastly, if you have over 50,000 downloads per episode (again after having it live for 30 days) you are in the top 1% (this would be the Marc Maron, Adam Corrola, Jay Mohr, etc). ]).

I considered dropping my goal and being proud of how far I’ve come…and then I remembered that Grant says so many of us lower our goals when it appears that we won’t make it, instead of 10x’ing our efforts to reach our original goals, we fall back, and change the goal to make ourselves feel better and less like a failure. (I’m reminded of Jim Rohn, “Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.”)
So, I say to you that maybe around this time of the month, with 6 days remaining, and definitely around this time of the year, as folks are winding down for the Holidays and ‘cutting their losses,’ you may be considering lowering the goals that you set for yourself in January 2015, when the year was fresh and new and the possibilities for your success seemed limitless.

But, to quote that legendary great, Mr. Richard Pryor, ‘I ain’t dead yet mother*#$^er!!!’ I ask you, what can you do to hit your mark between now and 11/30…12/31, heck Black Friday or Cyber Monday? You can do it!
