The Roots of Our History — The final lecture of the Middletown Historical Society’s 2023 Winter Lecture Series will feature a talk on the history of the farms that make up Newport Vineyards in Middletown. What is today a thriving vineyard, brewery, restaurant, and gift-shop was once the site of a race track, golf course, gun club, and dance hall, frequented by the most illustrious families of the Gilded Age. Learn about the history of the area and the local families who have farmed, developed, and conserved the land for generations.
