How I can empower “Japanese feminism”

It is sometimes very struggling to write about feminism in Japanese. There are lots of stereotypical mindsets toward feminism in Japan. For example, when I asked one of my friends that “What do you think about feminism?”, her response was very simple. “Well, it seems to be very radical ideology for me.” I was not surprised because it is exactly same as I had been expected. Yes, many people misunderstand that feminism is very radical “ideology”. I am not familar with the situations in overseas, but I feel that the situation is pretty same regardless of the countries and/or regions. People tend to think that feminism is very aggressive ideas.
Is it? I don’t think so.
I often encouter negative comments on what I believe, but I think that I keep this mind in the future as well as now.
