Liberty University cancels classes after stunning upset of Baylor

After Liberty University’s shocking win against Baylor University on Saturday night, President Falwell canceled classes on Monday. Considering Liberty’s current transition from the FCS into the FBS, this victory is especially significant. The cancellation announcement was made at 2 a.m. Sunday when Liberty students gathered to celebrate and greet the football team as they arrived back on campus.

Liberty University students head to Texas to help with flood relief efforts

On Saturday, September 2, the LU Send Now team from Liberty University left for Victoria, Texas, to spend one week assisting Hurricane Harvey victims. The team is working alongside Samaritan’s Purse Ministries as they begin the process of cleaning and restoring the affected Texas counties. Participating students, including one student with family in the Houston area, are glad for the opportunity to help those impacted by the hurricane.

Liberty University to premier nationwide feature film

Next week, the public will have the opportunity to see Liberty University’s movie titled “EXTRAORDINARY” in theaters. The movie tells the inspiring story of Liberty University professor Dr. David Horton’s ultra-marathon career and his marriage. This is the first feature film to have been produced by a university’s film department, and will premier in over 400 theaters nationwide.
