The Boise Art Museum

The Boise Art Museum is the best place in the state to check out some of the best artwork in the world. They have a permanent art collection, as well as new exhibits that pass through the museum regularly. They also offer community events, including Art in the Park.

Basque Museum and Cultural Center

The center offers an in depth look at the history of the Basques in the United States, as well as the old world. The center features a library and archives, as well as exhibits and a 19th century home. It’s an interesting look at a unique culture.

Idaho Botanical Garden

The botanical garden offers beautifully kept gardens that feature a variety of different types of plants, including a wealth of flowers. One of the most interesting features of the garden is the Lewis & Clark Native Plant Garden, which showcases plants mentioned during the famous explorers’ trip across the country. You will also note that the garden offers some wonderful views of the surrounding area.

This museum, which is celebrating its 20th year in 2015, offers a number of exhibits and a variety of information that delves in to the legacy of African Americans in the Idaho area, as well as other parts of the country and around the world. It is a fantastic educational experience.

Idaho Historical Museum

How much do you know about the history of Idaho? When you visit the Idaho Historical Museum, you are sure to learn plenty of new facts. Look at the history of the state and the culture as it has evolved over the years. They even have a giant fake baked potato that makes for a one of a kind photo opportunity.

Idaho Military History Museum

The military has a long history in Idaho. The museum tracks the military history from the 1860s to today.
