Why the New Acura NSX is Set Up for Success

The Acura team has done it again, unveiling the new 2017 Acura NSX at the Detroit Motor Show. The reveal received positive feedback from many attendees who were at the car event. Dave Marek, Global Creative Director for Acura, explained, “There is a ten second rule that should give you a first impression that says, I want that.” The new NSX appears to have just done that. Early indicators are that the luxury automaker has another hit on its hands.

Although they are not expected to just hit any regular dealership in Utah, these cars will soon be available at the starting price of $150,000 from select Acura dealers. The NSX may be a hefty cost, but the designers at Acura made the cars out of an aluminum and steel chassis that keeps the price reduced. The company had its best sales last year since 2007, with was a 5.6 percent increase from what it sold in 2014.

The engine holds three electric motors that help the engine put out more than 550 horsepower and achieve a top speed of 191 mph. While you may never be able to drive that fast in Utah, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. With the help of three electric motors the NSX will run entirely off of electrical power when driven at speeds under 50 mph. That is great news for those who are driving their cars in the busy Salt Lake City streets. Now they can enjoy great fuel economy and a sweet ride.

The NSX is mostly controlled by a touch screen system that allows access to climate control and other features, which is perfect for Utah road conditions. It also comes standard with GPS, premium audio, car temperature and other resources. The exterior of the NSX took the best ideas from other Acura cars such as the RLX, TLX, MDX, and ILX to give it a sporty look.

Acura is expecting another successful year with this new addition to the family. There’s no doubt that these cars will fly off dealerships as luxury car fans try to get one for themselves. If you are looking for an Acura at a lower price, however, there are still many options available throughout the state of Utah that could be yours. They may not give you the full NSX experience, but you will certainly get the Acura experience — which is an excellent one indeed.
