The natural play seems to be sending George as a rental to Cleveland for Love. Naturally Love doesn’t make a great deal of sense for the Pacers. The Celtics could become involved and send the third pick and (filler — Tyler Zeller) to the Pacers and the Celtics could send Avery Bradley to the Cavs as Love goes to the Celtics.

The risk of retaining of George falls on Cleveland (who should go all in in for 2018).

There is also some possibility that Cleveland could shed one of their overpriced role players (Shumpert/Smith) in the deal.

This gives back some leverage back to Indy and they could see if, LA blinks at giving them the second pick in the draft.
