The Brokers Fee

Today we are going to talk about the brokers fee.

The market has shifted a bit in the last few months, there are a lot of concessions being offered currently.

You will likely see a lot of No fee listings, & those with free rent, artificially inflating prices.

Then there are listings that have a brokers fee. At the end of the day you always pay a brokers fee. The question becomes whether you pay it up front at lease signing, or every month (as part of your rent) to your landlord because they compensated the broker on the commencement of the deal.

For example, a $5000 No Fee apartment is, a $4400–4500 apartment with a fee. So don’t limit yourself to just one type, or you may be missing out on your dream home.
