Where is All the Time?

Starting a business is hard. It’s like trying to raise a child. It needs your constant attention, it needs to eat, it needs you to educate it, and it’s completely dependent on you. An if you fail to give it the attention that it needs it starts to weaken and dies.

But it’s not the only thing in our life. We have other things like our sanity, real kids, spouses, bills, food, you get the point.

So where do you find the time to start a company? Sadly we only have 24 hours in a day and 8 of those hours are allotted to sleep. But therein lies the problem.

Every couple of weeks I sit down and do a self audit on myself. During this time I look at what I spend most of my day doing. Do I spend it talking to people, and checking Facebook? Or do I spend it moving towards my goals? During this audit I also look at what my goals are and setting up steps to move towards those goals until my next audit.

Most of the time when I do an audit on myself I find more time in my day to do things. For example, less time on Facebook and more time hustling.

Another thing, you’d be surprised how much time you have between 10:00 pm and 2:00 am in the morning. That’s an additional 4 hours that most people are sleeping away. Also when you are starting a company you really have no choice but to stay up and hustle.

We can all agree that time is our most valuable asset and we don’t get much of it in life, so use it wisely. There is always more time in a day. You just have to find it.
