Is the point of this that we should elect a president that’s not wealthy?

I don’t care if trump is wealthy or not, or any presidential candidate. All that means is no corporation or lobbyist can influence a candidate by means of money. Hypothetically, if every presidential candidate were rich, it would be a level playing field. No individual would have, or attempt to purchase an upper hand. It would be only politics. Which is what matters most, which is exactly what gets lost between fundraising, promos, and jazzing up the race to the white house. Citizens should be exclusively invested in who can run the country the most efficient. Correcting foreign policy, dealing with acts of terrorism, defusing racial tensions, that sort of stuff. Not about who has the deepest pockets. The ONLY good thing about a wealthy presidential candidate is that he or she could properly confront the problem of the federal deficit. But under no circumstances should anyone choose their president based on their bank account.
