I agree, it’s not reliable. You will get some cold starts whatever you do. Any “prewarming” strategy can only reduce the frequency.

They won’t be costly though, at least not in terms of extra fee you pay to cloud provider. You only need to do several calls per 5 or 10 minutes, and only pay for minimal 100 ms for each call if done correctly. This will never aggregate to any meaningful $ amount.
