Political Lies

The joke “How can you tell that a politician is lying? Their lips are moving” maybe old, but sadly rings true.

Last week, the DNC held their convention were the truth was sadly lacking. It would take a book to go through all the lies repeated time and again. Of course the so called fact checkers don’t really call them out. In fact, the fact checkers have become propagandist who by and large attempt to just state that the party they like is truthful and the party they dislike is lying regardless of what the real truth is.

Let’s take a look. First the Democrats were re-writing history. Although slavery, segregation, KKK, and blocking the civil rights movement was the crimes committed by the Democrats, they spoke as if they are the champions ending those horrific acts. But nothing could be further from the truth. The explanation is that the racist in the Democrat party that had all the power, money and control left the party and joined the party that hates them.

So basically the claim is that the Democrats and Republican members switched parties and the Democrats history is now the Republican history and vise versa. And people have actually come to believe that. Now one can state that’s re-writing history, not technically a lie. Well taken credit for the actions of others is a lie.

Lie: Hillary Clinton is the first woman nominated for President of the United States. Truth: The first woman to be nominated for President happened in 1872 and since then there have been dozens of women, even black women who have been nominated for President. No they may attempt to say by a major party, but back in 1872, there really wasn’t much in the way of a major party, it was vary much fractured.

Lie, the banks were irresponsible and nearly destroyed the economy. Truth: Bill Clinton enacted laws to increase home ownership and eliminated the barriers of investment banks and banks were doing what they were told they had to do by Government. There is a lot that goes into that, but that is really a summary. Only Government for force by law and organization take actions that result negatively and then blame them for the results of the actions Government dictated they take.

Lie: the CFPB is there to protect the consumer and prevent reckless behavior of banks. Truth: the CFPB is designed to turn private companies into extensions of government from whom they enact Government policies and forced funding off the Government’s accounting books. Currently the CFPB is forcing banks to spend large sums of money to take care of properties owned by private citizens. That’s right, if you abandoned your property and your responsibilities, the CFPB is make the banks take care of your property for you. This cost however is being passed on to the consumers. Government forbid that people take responsibility for their own property.

It’s so bad, that some states have enacted laws that hold banks criminally liable for properties they don’t even own, just because they service the mortgage. The bank doesn’t even own the mortgage they are hired to process the payment and maintenance of the mortgage, yet criminally liable for properties they don’t own, just because the service the processing of the loan.

Lie: greedy banks were denying loan modifications because they didn’t want to lose potential profits. Truth: The banks service the mortgages and are not the decision makers. What’s worse is that the banks service mortgages for the Government (FHA) loans. While Obama was in front of cameras talking about how banks need to do more to help, Obama’s bureaucrat’s were behind the scenes as the one’s who where actually denying those modification and the banks were not allowed to let you know that. The Government dictated that the banks had to act as though they were the ones deciding.

The list goes on and on. Yet even though we know that politicians lie constantly, we still allow them to get away with it and support them. Funny how each person will state that all politicians are crooked except the one they voted for. We need better choices and a way to remove those liars without them just being replaced by more liars.
