Stars Fading

Loneliness drowns me as the heavy echoes tremble in the streets.

Waves of tears erupt at my gaze.

Blurry visions of loss and confusion

cloud closed eyes.

Today, I am afraid;

I mustn’t give in —

weak and helpless mind,

emptiness.

I scream in my silence and stomp while I lay.

In a hole,

I hold my breath.

Through the deepest of oceans;

still, calm waters are near.
