Bitcoin Lightning swap to Block-Logic
Why are we doing a Swap?
As most of the community is aware, the Bitcoin Lightning developers have agreed for the community to take over the project, and to achieve this a committee team was voted by the community, to move forward.
As part of this takeover it was agreed that, the name should be changed, to avoid confusion with the lightning network, and that the code base should be also replaced.
The changes to the code base will enable us to to have a more secure and robust network, which will enable us to build around it.
This in turn makes it necessary that we move to a brand new chain, resulting in a required coin swap to all BLTG coin holders.
The snapshot was taken at block height 281000, any movements from this block onward will not be honored.
Any Tokens held on exchanges (STEX, SouthXchange and Satoshi Solutions) will be automatically swapped for you.
Token swap Begins — October 22, 2018 @ 18:00 EST
❗️Please do not attempt to swap before the due time as it will not work.
Token Swap Deadline — December 04, 2018 @ 23:59 EST
❗️ Any Tokens not swapped by this time will be lost permanently.
Please send all tokens in 1 single transaction
⚠️DO NOT SEND A SMALL AMOUNT TO TEST, if you do this all remaining tokens in your wallet will be split to other addresses and invalidate your tokens, as they do not exist after the snapshot.
BLTG Token swap Procedure
This procedure will swap all your tokens in your BLTG Wallet
1- Download your new wallet from:
2- Once the new BLTG wallet is fully synced and is up-to-date, generate a new receive address by going to File > Receiving Addresses > New+. Save the new address in something like notepad as you will need it later. Close the wallet.
⚠️ You need to close the new BLTG wallet before moving on to the next step.
3- Go to swap site http://bltgswap.azurewebsites.net/swap and start the process by providing the address from the new wallet saved previously.
4- You will be prompted with a wallet address and a Swap ID. The address is to send your old tokens to, the Swap ID is for troubleshooting purposes. Save them both in something like notepad, as you will need the address in the following steps.
⚠️Make sure to keep a copy of the swap id, just in case there are any issues.
5- Open the old BLTG wallet and validate coin control is enabled. To check/enable Coin Control go to Settings > Options > Display and check Display coin control features (experts only).
6- Go to the Send tab, click on Inputs… click “(un)select all” to check everything in your old BLTG wallet (after fee) to be sent in 1 transaction to the address provided by the swap site.
⚠️DO NOT SEND SMALL AMOUNT TO TEST, if you do this all remaining tokens in your wallet will be split to other addresses and invalidate your tokens, as they do not exist after the snapshot.
7- Send the tokens to complete the transaction. Leave the SWAP page open until your transaction is confirmed.
8- Close the old BLTG wallet and open the new BLTG wallet.
9- Monitor and wait for deposit and confirmation of the transaction.
10- Your tokens are now swapped.
11- If you run into any issues please contact the BLTG Support team under the Support Channel in Discord. Make sure you supply your SWAP ID.
