Isn’t it about time for headphone technology to separate itself from the cellphone(in a sense)? sometimes I just want music. No phone. No Bluetooth. No wires (always getting caught on the knob of a kitchen drawer ripping out earbuds during the songs “best part”) headphones that are SD card compatible - basically a MP3 — wireless, waterproof (sweat-proof), lightweight and of course an impressive long lasting rechargeable battery kinda headphones. If they exist and I don’t know about them- someone point me in that direction, but if not — come on. Sometimes the phone needs to be at home. Shut off. Bluetooth -limiting my roaming to its finite range capability or microwave popcorn interrupting my tunes. I’ll be impressed (if I haven’t died by then) when headphone technology insists on standing on its own without this unhealthy codependent relationship with our cellphones. Rant over.
