In my experience the slicker syntax out ways the performance cost 99% of the time.

Oof, binomial coefsomethingsomething, I’m glad I don’t have to do that for my job or I’d be in big trouble :P I’m definitely a layman when it comes to actual math. Been trying to learn as much as I can about math principles and computer science over the last year, it’s a slow journey. Still a long way to go :) I’m a self taught dev, so I’m often slower to catch on to things than most of my educated friends.

Do you still have the execution times (or an example to run) of both approaches? And what environment were you running it in? I’m interested to see how big the difference was in performance. Just out of curiosity really. Thanks again for your replies!
