Starting Journey of mine to Join Misfits:-
I was one of your follower who admires you the most when I saw your videos on you tube . How calmly patiently politely you answer the question and ask the question was fascinating for me. while watching couple of podcast of both of you with ex IFS officers and aspirants like me who joined UN , I got the clarity that I want to talk to you by Hook or by crook and I make up my mind to join Misfits. I was the same person who sometimes personally text you and your you tube comment section like some controversial questions but you played smartly and gave me the buttering answer and from that day onwards I want to meet you by any means. By the way I shared this incident with one of my close childhood friend he was laughing at me and said these are the same typical coaching type scenario then I replied him — “Don’t Judge the Book by it’s cover”. I researched about you and personally feel that - Yes this is what I want. Even my Father said that he was having a close friend who is running his own UPSC coaching Centre , then he said you should join this and I replied this is what I want. I stood by my decision and joined Misfits on 15th October 2023.
My orientation session:-
I saw you and Satakshi Madam first time it was an amazing experience when you asked the whole new batch Why do we study History and I replied on first go and you appreciated my response because I derive the answer from your videos of — “Diversionary war concept” . and I was excited to join first live session of Misfits (Geography).
Misfits Journey:-
First Live class of Geography was an eye opener for me where you gave the e.g. of Mississippi river system of USA which thrives its economy and I Understand How Geography creates Economy and Economy creates empires . That was surreal experience and I enjoyed a lot and actually I was feeling that I became a Geologist diving deeper to solve the mysteries of the Earth.
Further we move ahead and discuss how water can be used as a weapon when we were discussing dams rivers and how Diplomacy comes into picture e.g. China (Lancong Mekong delta Project). So whole Geography class where we were solving the problems of International relations (Indo -Pak) Siachen Nubra valley(Operation Meghdoot ) , Barashigri glacier , Kishenganga project. and you made us believe as a diplomat how we were gonna solve the problem and in the break out room we act like Diplomat to solve the problem.
Disaster management session was again a mesmerizing episode for me when we read the Triple Disaster incidents of Japan and we had discussed with case studies in environment class and discussed how to Mitigate and adapt those strategies while facing such disaster. I want to share more solution about how to solve the flood and drought problems , Landslides and other disasters as well using modern scientific techniques but I didn’t get a chance to speak. Yeah my favourite “SPONGE CITY PROGRAMME- Kongjian Yu (chinese architect)”, to tackle urban floods and landslides . I researched his technique and I said in the class that I am gonna use this to solve flooding problem especially in my area. With this my mindset was clear that I will use Modern day Technology to solve the problem like climate change.
For e.g. In order to solve Air Pollution from construction sector I will Use Techorep System Technique for building demolition used in Japan.
So Geography experience was roller coaster ride from diving deeper into the Koala (12km) to inner core of Earth, to ocean floors ( Harry Hess sea floor spreading — Magnetic reversal of Earth ) — Intra plate Earthquake(Bhuj), Carbon sequestration, Deep ocean current, surface current (counter Equitorial) , Monsoons , Windflow patterns, Dolddrums, Atmosphere ( strato (Ozone ) our Conjectures.
There was one incident in RAMAYANA where Bali used to circumvent the earth three times before dawn so I also had the same experience in Geography. like a Jet streams.
I also mentioned that in one of the episode that I relate History lessons with the movie — “Bahubali- Jai Mahismati” and geography I mentioned above.
Immersing into the new experience of learning with Satakshi Madam :-
ENVIRONMENT :-
1) complete Engineering approach I enjoyed it till the last lesson I can easily relate it because this is what I have been practicing for.
2) case study session was amazing that was the most beautiful part I cherished it. we were solving the cases as an Environment secretary in terms of negotiations while giving environment clearances.
I personally contributed most in this segment like EIA , EC,FC.
3) Breakout room discussion getting new insights through my peers .
4) How to solve the problem and eradicate the root cause.
5) Collaboration approach while engaging all the stakeholders
6) Ashok Lavasa ethics and environment session was also amazing and I was thinking that I should be there to express my views on how to solve Pollution Problem.
Science Technology:-
1) First session on Digital Technology I can comprehend well and contribute in the class I enjoyed it.
2) Madam was again using case study based approach which was the most enjoyable thing I could say.
3) Quantum Technology class was my favourite one because I got to know about my short comings while answering question my speed was way too fast.
4) Best thing is visuals and videos that madam has shown to us that helped most of the students specially in this segment .
Polity:-
1) Your favourite line “Polity is a binding force( core force) which helps to sustain empires.
2) comparing Political scenarios all across the world like Pakistan, Somalia, Arab springs and thus we can understand why polity matters.
3) I can see the political scenarios when you were steering the ship and help us to understand as an Officers how we should think we are going to become Indian Administrative services not BJP or congress services, so make your elected leaders accountable and you also said good people occupy important position so that country thrive not these politicians. It’s been imprinted in my head.
4) Dr. B.R. Ambedkar video was again an eye opener for me .
My learning from that video :- Social Democracy leads to political Democracy so social consciousness about to whom do we vote for , If great leaders are not getting elected then we have lost the core idea of Democracy.
5) CAA session was the best session for me I want more time to express but I have sent you the mail regarding my position.
6) when you asked some controversial question that was the time that I thaught that now the floor is open and express yourself.
There were many incidents that we were having different opinions with my fellow Misfitters and you as well but I was stick to my position like Sabarimala, Dahi Handi, Judicial Activism ( after this I did my own research ), France model of governance , Secularism etc.
7) Polity session was like we were sitting in the parliament and debating and discussing and framing policies in the breakout room . You are like speaker (Naman Bhai) yielding the floor for future leaders and every one got an opportunity to express oneself.
So MISFIT SESSION OF POLITY WAS PARLIAMENTARY SESSION FOR ME WHERE IN THE BUDGET SESSION WE STARTED IT AND BEFORE OUR PRELIMS DAY WE DISSOLVE OUR MISFIT PARLIAMENT JOURNEY AND AFTER THAT LIKE THE ELECTION RESULT WE WILL BE HAVING OUR RESULT OF PRELIMS AND AFTER THAT LIKE NEW MINISTER WILL TAKE THE CHARGE OF OFFICE SIMILARLY NEW SELECTED FOLKS AFTER CLEARING PRELIMS WILL GET THE NEW SEAT IN MISFIT DRAVID HOUSE AND DEEP DIVE LIKE NEW MINISTERS( CHIRAG PASWAN) WHO WON AND GOT THE MINISTER SEAT AND SOME CAPABLE KARYAKARTAS LIKE K.ANNAMALAI WHO FOUGHT VERY HARD TILL HIS LAST BREATH AND UNFORTUNATELY HE LOST , SIMILARLY IN PRELIMS AND MAINS THERE WILL BE SOME GOOD FOLKS WHO WILL BE SELECTED AND SOME FOLKS WHO WILL NOT MAKE THROUGH BUT THEY ARE ALL ANNAMALAI WHO NEVER QUITS AND CHANGE THE PERCEPTION THAT HE WILL BRING CHANGE EVENTUALLY IN THE COMING TIME AND GIVE THE COUNTRY YOUNG DYNAMIC LEADER AND FUTURE LEADERS(ALL MISFITTERS ) .
MY PERSONAL VIEWS ON NAMAN BHAI:-
1) ASTUTE AND CHARISMATIC PERSONALITY , CALM , COMPOSE AND ALWAYS PLAYS ON HIS STENGTH AND TRUST HIS 6TH SENSE
2) VERY PEACEFULL MENTOR ALWAYS CALM LIKE DRAVID ,DHONI SO HE IS MENTOR COOL FOR ME.
3) I ADMIRE HIM THE WAY HE ALWAYS SHOWED POSITIVE APPROACH NO MATTER WHAT HE ALWAYS HAVE POSITIVE SPIRIT, WHEN WE COMMIT SOME SILLY MISTAKE HE ALWAYS SAID YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO MAKE MISTAKES AND OPPORTUNIT TO CORRECT IT. HE KEPT TELLING US “ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF ,DON’T SELFDOUBT YOURSELF HOWEVEER THE WORST CASE SCENARIO IS”.
4) HE IS HAVING STRONG MENTAL FORTITUDE AND NEVER GIVE UP SPIRIT WALA ATTITUDE .
5) MULTI DIMENSIONAL THINKER — I AM PERSONALLY LEARNING FROM HIM “THE ART OF MASTERING CONJECTURES BUILDING APPROACH TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM”.
6) GREAT HOST KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE CHAOS IN DEBATE.
7) HE IS ALSO A GREAT HEALER FOR MOST OF THE MISFITTERS AND SHOWED THEM HOW TO TACKLE THOSE PROBLEMS.
8) HE CONNECTS WITH EACH FOLKS FROM HIS HEART SO I DON’T MIND IF HE SCOLD ME OR ANY OTHER INFRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS BUT HE ALSO LOVES A LOT AND CARES FOR ALL OF US AS A TRUE GURU’ .
9) AS A GURU HE IS LEADING FROM THE FRONT WHETHER BE IT HIS DRESSING SENSE TO WEAR WAIST COAT AS A FUTURE DIPLOMAT , PUNCTUALITY, UNDERSTANDING THE STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS OF THE MISFITTERS AND GUIDE IT FOR E.G. WHEN MY VIEWS ON FRENCH MODEL OF GOVERNANCE ,I WAS SOUNDING LIKE REBELLIOUS BUT HE CORRECTED ME DON’T BE REBELLIOUS ACT LIKE AN OFFICERS . ALTHOUGH IT’S HARD FOR ME TO CHANGE MY POSITION BUT I AM WORKING ON IT AND FOLLOWING HIS ADVICE. ALTHOUGH I HAVE MY FACTS AND DATAS TO SUPPORT MY POSITION BUT I UNDERSTAND WHAT HE TRIED TO SAY.
10) HIS WORK ETHICS IS COMMENDABLE ,I THINK HE IS EPITOME OF THE SO CALLED PROFESSIONALISM AND STICK TO HIS PRINCIPLES OF NOT TO DEVIATE FROM HIS GOAL TO PROVIDE BEST QUALITY LEADERS FOR INDIA THROUGH MISFIT ,HOWEVER THE LUCRATIVE OFFER WAS GIVEN TO HIM FROM PREDATORY MNC’S. HE ALWAYS STOOD BY HIS ETHOS THAT MAKES HIM ELITE OF THE ELITE FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
I AM A MILITARY MINDSET GUY SO HIS MINDSET IS LIKE SPECIAL FORCES OPERATOR IN THE CIVIL SOCIETY AND HE CAN DO ANYTHING, ANYWHERE,ANYTIME.
SO HE BRINGS LIKE MINDED PERSON ON A SINGLE PLATFORM (MISFITS) TO COLLABORATE WITH EACH OTHER AND LEADS TO NEW EVOLUTION WITH NEW SENSE OF POSITIVE ENERGY THAT WILL THRIVE THE COUNTRY IN TIME TO COME .

GIVE ME MORE TIME TO SPEAK WHEN I MAKE SOME FACTS WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO SPEW AND SPIT (CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS).

1) VERY ENERGETIC , CALM, COMPOSED , PATIENTLY LISTENING THE QUERIES OF MISFITTERS.
2) PUSH THE WEAKEST PERSON TO PERFORM AND GIVE SOME OUTPUT
3) CREATES POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT AND AURA IN THE CLASS
4) ALWAYS SMILING ( HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON ME PERSONALLY HOWEVER THE SCENARIO IS)
5) PERSONAL EXPERTISE IN CONSULTING COMES INTO PICTURE AND WE GET THE BENEFIT FROM IT.
6) SHE IS AGAIN EPITOME OF PROFESSIONALISM
7) ONE OF THE GREAT WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR AND SHAPING AND NURTURING OUR MINDS.
8) HER CLIMATE BASED SOLUTIONS AND BELIEVE IN “ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT- GOES HAND IN HAND AS MENTIONED IN ARTHASHASTRA-” AS A CAPITALIST BUY LAND ON YOUR OWN , PLANT TREES ON YOUR OWN SO THAT YOU KNOW THE EFFORT , TIME , ENERGY,RESOURCES REQUIRE TO GROW THE FOREST AND THEN CAPITALIST CAN CLEAR IT FOR THEIR WORK”.
9) SHE LET US TO LEARN BY OUR HEART AND APLLY THE PRINCIPLE OF ETHICS, ENVIRONMENT , SCI-TECH THROUGH OUR MIND ,HEART,SOUL
10) SHE VOICED FOR GENDER JUSTICE AND SOCIALISE THE PEOPLE FOR SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT AND INDUCTION IN DAY TO DAY LIFE . SHE TOLD US THAT SHE IS AWARING THE PEOPLE OF GOA HOW TO SUSTAINABLY DISPOSE SOLID WASTES, PLASTICS…
SHE IS A VERY BEAUTIFULL MENTOR THAT I HAVE EVER MET. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH YOU MADAM , I ENJOYED A LOT PERSONALLY.
THIS MISFITS JOURNEY WILL BE LIKE A DONNING HAT THAT I ALWAYS WEAR THROUGH MY LIFE .
