What surprised me is that these are two elected officials saying this. These two women ought to know better than the rest of us how their party is toxic to transgender people.

I mean sure, you could be like Caitlyn Jenner and think you can “change” the way the party thinks, but these two didn’t even do that. Instead, they set the bar so far low to where “he held up a rainbow flag” and “he made a promise” were good enough to green light a vote despite peering down the barrel of the most anti-LGBTQ platform in history and appointees who want to erase transgender people from existence.

I am confused and sad now. :(
