“No, we were not working off of a Mission Continues donor list.” — Eric Greitens in October, 2016

As Eric Greitens recently admitted to an ethics violation from the Missouri Ethics Commission, the Governor also revealed that he was blatantly dishonest to Missourians in October about his campaign fundraising.

Here’s exactly how Greitens was blatantly dishonest to Missourians:

NOW: Greitens recently signed a consent order, agreeing “to pay a penalty to the state Ethics Commission for failing to report that his gubernatorial campaign got a donor list” from The Mission Continues, according to the Associated Press.

THEN: In a clear contrast, then-candidate Greitens denied using a fundraising list from The Mission Continues in October, stating: “No, we were not working off of a Mission Continues donor list.”

“Eric Greitens has already shown he’s willing to say and do anything if he thinks it will promote himself. It’s only been a few months, but this is once again a loss for Missourians who just want government to look out for their interests — instead of this non-stop misdirection coming from the Governor’s mansion,” said Missouri Democratic Party Chair Stephen Webber.
