West Elm is a *retail* furniture seller — not just online. They have dozens of stores across the U.S. So they already sell this Peggy coach in stores, rendering your “retail is better” assumption here invalid.

Also, regarding “buy a good brand” — West Elm sells their own branded furniture, and it is supposedly a good (high-end) brand. So that criticism doesn’t apply here either.

It seems like you copy-pasted something you’d already written about buying furniture into a comment here, and tried to adapt it into a critique of this author that doesn’t fit the circumstances.
