When Mayor Pete Buttigieg first tossed his hat in the ring I thought that this could be interesting as he seemed to be breaking the taboos. As things have evolved I see less and less potential and more and more his being a product of privilege. He may be gay but he doesn’t get the LGBTQ challenges. His upbringing sheltered him from life’s challenges and the experiences of have not. “Pale” is a good descriptor, I might add ghostly as he has not shown real substance.

Middle of the road, don’t rock the boat… a career politician who likely will not rise above Mayor but just be “the token good gay” – see how accepting we are say his voters while they kick their LGBTQ sons and daughters out into the street…
