I’ve been waiting to read this because I wanted to make sure I gave it the attention it deserves. During my last round of family court, I also came to several conclusions: That many of the officers of the court actually perpetuate these behaviors — simply because in the mean time, they’re getting paid. Actions speak much larger than words. Over a two year time period, it was loud and clear what was being communicated.
Some of what you discuss for solutions here can be found, (what I believe) to be in “verifiable claims” and “verifiable credentials” technology. There’s definitely some use case possibilities and I hope to one day see those as a reality.
Half of the industry will support it and the other half will gnash their teeth because it will mean a shifting of just where that green flows. To me, that is justice.
I plan on speaking up and out about this a lot more as time continues.
