To me, the more important issue is it seems that most musicians are going into Spotify or Apple Music preferring that another option emerge. It’s no coincidence that Adele and Taylor Swift, two of the hottest pop musicians, would rather make you buy the music from iTunes than to make them put it on a stream service. So, to answer your conundrum between Spotify and Apple Music: choose a format that supports the artists better. And to me, that format is old and semi-unrealiable iTunes. (And yes, I know that also means buy concert tickets because that’s how musicians are now buttering their bread, so to speak. The music industry is utterly broken, in part by Apple’s iTunes, archaic copyrighting laws, and a whole music industry still not realizing they’ve been essentially extinct since the emergence of Napster.)
