Sorry, but you lost me at “we live in a time when black bodies continue to pile up at the hands of cops and racist vigilantes, and white America continues to ignore or justify these murders.” In 2016, 233 blacks were killed by police (465 whites were also killed).
In 2015, there were almost 6000 black on black murders.
Decide for yourself where the bodies are piling up.
No question, some of those 233 killed in 2016 by police were unjustified and the police should be prosecuted, but the vast majority of the 233 along with the 465 whites were simply police doing their jobs.
On the 6000 blacks who were killed by other blacks — these are *all* murders. Where is the outcry about this? Why the focus on the pile of 5-maybe 25 or even 50 unjustified police killings when the number for black on black murder is 100 times that?
Look up the stats for inter-racial murders. For the most part, whites kill whites and blacks kill blacks. The bodies piling up are black bodies killed by blacks. Obviously there are some sick people out there who target others for their race, religion, or sexual preference, but that’s not the cause of the huge pile of bodies that the black community wants to ignore.
