One of the most powerful tools in the social media game is the hashtag. If you don’t use hashtags in your social media posts, then you’re missing out.

When you incorporate hashtags into your social media posts, you create the following:

1. Awareness

2. Engagement

3. Networking

You accomplish all of the above by using hashtags because you are promoting your brand via search results. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other Social Media Platforms allow hashtags, and for good reason: it simplifies content and makes it easier for users to discover relevant topics.

Without hashtags you are limiting your tweet to your followers and a smaller audience. Adding hashtags to your tweet opens your tweet up to search results for rings, engagement rings and weddings — you are creating a wider audience (your followers and other users searching for those terms you hashtagged).

So by using hastags in your tweets you will increase engagement and followers.

Pretty simple.

Same goes for Instagram. Adding hashtags to your images will garner more attention to users who are not your followers, and who might even decide to follow you — more followers!

So it’s a good idea to use hashtags in your posts. You will expand your audience and build your following.
