The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed free agent cornerback Kevin White, Jr. to fill in for Senquez Golson, whose season is once again in jeopardy after suffering injury.

Golson missed the entire 2015 season after injuring his shoulder, and now it looks as though he may miss the 2016 season with a foot injury that may require surgery. The Steelers signed White to make up for Golson’s absence, hoping he will give them some depth in the secondary.

White, who played his college ball at Texas Christian University, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons last year. After being waived, he would then go on to spend time with the Arizona Cardinals on the team’s practice squad throughout the remainder of last season.
