“Oh it sure is Monday, isn’t it now, I gotta get myself through the week somehow. I had a ball Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and it’s all over now and it sure is Monday.” I woke up with this song in my head. It fits.
Friday: I needed gas ($40) and wrapping paper for some bridal shower/wedding gifts ($8) and thought that since I was out and about I might as well have Taco Bell for supper ($6). Then I went home and cleaned out all my cupboards, fridge and freezer. Yahoo! We are going to eat all this stuff before I buy anything new!
Saturday: Dropped my husband off to finally get his car fixed — $1500 later — it’s in great shape! (His expenses, not mine.) I attended a bridal shower that was just lovely and then got a few staple groceries so we can use up all the stock-piled food ($41). My husband and I went to IKEA ($99) and bought an assortment of things, $9 of which was candy from the self-serve section. DO NOT GET THE SALT COVERED LICORICE GUMMI OCTOPI. They are horrid. Then it was off to the top-rated restaurant in Mpls — Chef Shack — and we were the ONLY patrons at 7:20 p.m. Weird but probably because of the State Fair. The food was good…but not mind-blowingly so, but the service was awesome ($62 including tip).
Sunday: I slept in, did some cooking and started watching Season 1 of Preacher. ($0).
Actual: $256 (I wasn’t planning on the IKEA run, otherwise I would have been right on!)
