Artificial intelligence and our professions
AI, AI, AI and AI is everywhere in discussion now a days and everyone fears that AI is going to take its place one day; and make him/her redundant. Is it going to be the case for everyone or there are a few vulnerable to AI’s attack?
Artificial intelligence was taught to us long before laptops were famous enough. The concept was based on its knowledge base which captures information on daily basis and uses that knowledge to solve the day to day problems. It is similar to human functions of a brain with the exception of a large storage in comparison to a single mind.
However, the evolution in AI and Robotics has never been that successful in reality than in theories. We will still have to wait long enough to witness the future of flying cars and lightspeed engines to travel through the galaxies. For now the focus remains on survival on planet earth.
This is where the tech industry is trying its level best to convince the world that they and their technology can replace everyone on earth. They are trying to develop software in an attempt to reduce the man power in workspace as first step and later they might have planned to replace the remaining human beings with robots. All they have to do is take decision on the basis of information stored in their knowledge base.
But the real question is that who are they going to be selling the products and services in the future? Human beings are the prime consumers on earth and without opportunity to earn they cannot maintain the consumption. Although AI and Robots may one day decide to pet us if we are not worth good consumers.
Hope you enjoyed this discussion. See you again and have a great day.
