The Uno Plane Welcomes You
Thousands of cycles ago, a meteorite burst through a magic portal and struck the Uno Plane. This massive rock, now known as Momo Island, became the source of Momoguro energy, a powerful binding force that enables creatures (which we call Momos) to fuse together and benefit from each other’s abilities. Since that time, each species of Momo has developed one special trait, one unique skill that makes it a valuable and effective fusion partner. In the world of Momoguro, symbiotic relationships are the norm and collaboration is a means of survival.
Among the hundreds of Momo species that populate Uno, only two have been able to harness this fusion energy and master the art of Momoguro: Luchas and Sentos.
When a Lucha and a Sento come together, they form a single being called a Holoself. Each Holoself has the ability to fuse with many Momos, sometimes hundreds at a time, to form a powerful organism known as a Momobeast. These Momobeasts embody the spirit of collective action in Uno; each Momo lends its own unique skill to help the group achieve a common goal.
Momoguro is a celebration of community and a commitment to the belief that, when we come together and embrace our differences, we can create something greater than the sum of our parts.
Award-Winning Story Franchises
The first release of the Momoguro world is the Momoguro digital collectible storytelling RPG, which allows players to go on interactive story quests, collect Momos, and uncover the mysteries of the Uno Plane by taking on the role of a rookie Holoself.
The Momoguro universe is being developed by 9x Emmy-winning Baobab Studios, the leading independent animation studio that makes story franchises across film, tv, games, and books/publishing. Baobab has released Invasion!, Asteroids!, Jack, Crow: The Legend, Bonfire, Baba Yaga and Namoo all to commercial and critical acclaim. Momoguro is a new franchise developed in collaboration with industry-recognized creators Martin Allais & Nico Casavecchia.
Baobab Studios aspires to bring the Momoguro IP to as many channels, streaming platforms, and widespread media as possible — including millions of fans in gaming, animation, comics, and other forms of media and entertainment.
A Fusion Of Latin American Roots
The creators, Nico and Martin, grew up as Latin American immigrants, immersed in a world that was culturally diverse and where the “richness of mixture” was a daily experience. Their sense of wonder is what inspired them to bring a Latin American influence to the visual design and storytelling of Momoguro. The result is a captivating blend of colors, flavors, and dialects that truly capture the magic and beauty of their cultural heritage, but in a way that is fresh, fun, and uniquely their own.
Everything in Momoguro is filtered through the lens of Nico and Martin’s Latin American roots. Even the name Momoguro is a combination of ‘Rey Momo,’ King of Carnivals in many Latin American festivities and ‘Guro,’ a variation of the Sanskrit word ‘Guru,’ meaning teacher.
Together We Are Uno
The very nature of the franchise is a metaphor for diversity. Even when things in the Momoguro world don’t map exactly to our own, all the characters in the Uno Plane have evolved to rely on each other and fight against those who want to divide them. Momoguro is a story about inclusion, and how our differences are a source of strength and new perspectives can make a community stronger. Join us together on our next adventure!

Baobab’s most recent release, Namoo, was acquired by Warner 150 earlier this year and is now streaming exclusively on HBO Max.
