On your spotify profile settings (at least on the computer), there’s a large button that says “Sign out everywhere”, that will force spotify to log out on ALL devices that have your spotify account open/logged in. I have used this feature and it’s worked great.

Am I missing something, or would that have just solved his problem in seconds?
