The community asked and we listened! Again! Staking for tokens or NFTs is a must-have feature in web3 and one that we re-prioritized significantly after our community requested it en masse.
Building a Staking Feature is NO Small Feat
There are some major differences between web3 and web2 gaming. In web2, you have one main priority — building a solid and entertaining game. In web3 there are various other technological infrastructures, aspects, and considerations around the game that are essential such as NFT technology and blockchain development, and given that web3 is still young there is a lot of building in the dark. One such development is that of Single-Sided Token Staking — a feature we decided to custom build in-house. This feature was no minor one and the MonkeyLeague team worked around the clock to light up the path to completion.
So, today we mark another significant milestone that we should all be MonkeyProud of.

$MBS Staking Overview
The entire $MBS staking program will have 5 million MBS in rewards, distributed on a daily basis over a fixed 90 days lock period for those registered in the pool. Meaning that once you stake your $MBS, you won’t be able to take it out before the end of the 90 day period.
What is Staking in Web3?
Staking is the process of locking up crypto holdings in order to obtain rewards, meaning that you can “stake” some of your holdings and earn a percentage-rate reward over time. This usually happens via a “staking pool”.
Many long-term crypto holders look at staking as a way of making their assets work for them by generating rewards, rather than collecting dust in their crypto wallets.
Staking has the added benefit of contributing to the security and efficiency of the projects you support.

MonkeyLeague’s APR
The staking program’s APR, or annual percentage rate, is dependent on the total amount currently staked, the number of participants, and when you specifically began staking. The more $MBS staked and the sooner you do it will bring about the highest amounts of rewards.
APR can change as more people join the program.
How to Unstake My Rewards?
After the 90 days period, each participant of the staking program will be able to claim their total rewards by themselves directly from our website. Once the lock period is over you can automatically take out all your rewards by using the same wallet you used when staking.
If you decide to stake your $MBS and still want to participate in the Pioneers Gear Up claims, make sure you have 1200 $MBS or more in your wallet after staking.
