Great article and I can’t agree more. As a single dad with a daughter and 2 sons, I know she will get a lot of exposure to all of the boy & girl toys that life has to offer, but because she has 2 brothers I have to sometimes steer her toward the girly toys to help expose her to those (luckily she loves to dress up).
Now as an adult in the Technology field, I see lots of men and women, and have promised not to pigeon-hole her into or away from fields.. I’ll show her what all there is, and let her decide for herself.. And if she becomes an engineer, then Awesome! If she becomes an Interior designer, I’ll have no issues with that as well.
