Monsanto’s eco-friendly packaging initiative saves 180 tonnes of CO2 emissions in Germany.

Monsanto’s crop protection operations in Germany have been awarded a certificate awarded for reducing their greenhouse gas emissions by 179,841 kilograms, or 180 tonnes. This is equivalent to 12,962 trees absorbing greenhouse emissions in Europe and was the result of an eco-friendly packaging initiative in 2015. The achievement was validated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental Safety and Energy Technology (Fraunhofer Umsicht). To find our more please go to the European blog.
