What Do You Know About Teachers?

I am a teacher. Wait! Please don’t scroll down and leave the page. Read it till the end to discover the unfolded secrets of our hard job and our concerns as teachers.

Like most jobs, ours requires dedication and passion.

As a teacher, I have to point out the students’ mistakes and guide them to correct and learn from these mistakes. Likewise, in life we need someone to guide us and help us modify the unwanted behaviors. But wait. Isn’t this a boring job to do? Yes, sometimes I used to skip many mistakes. (I know this is wrong.)Even the director had a meeting with me concerning this issue.

In fact, I hated to tell the kids they were wrong. I would only try to show them a better way to do what they are doing wrong. I love kids. I see them as the future engineers, startups, doctors and community builders. So, my colleagues and I are the invisible, unappreciated people that build this community and help these people become who they really want to be, the best version of themselves.

Being a teacher, is frustrating. It consumes all your energy and drains you unless, you love your job. I meant to say, even if you love it. 😆 I am ready to work harder, and inspire more people around me.

In Fact, I love my job. I love the way I’m helping my society. But we teachers are neither well paid nor apreciated in my country. We are paid less than what we give. We give our hearts to the kids. We teach our students with passion. Yes, passion…Yet, we need to count on the students’ memory to remember the love we gave him/her. Is this fair?

Though helping others is a pleasure for me. It makes me happy and fills my heart with satisfaction. But…there is something missing here. I can help and influence more people feeling content.
