Does this bother you?

Can you rank these in order of importance? (Source: www.weareangry.net)

When a white affluent male talks abusively about a white affluent female, presidencies can be lost and there is global outrage from both the left and the right.

When a white affluent male talks abusively about African Americans, Muslims, Mexicans and encourages pornography, gun ownership and usage - it has little impact on electability, while the media, the @GOP and the mob give a little wince, then campaign harder for him.

The working poor are robbed of their houses and their livelihoods by criminal financial corporations. They are then obliged to pay those same corporations for the cost of protecting the shareholders from any losses.

Yet, when the working poor react by dealing a massive blow to those responsible - by voting for Brexit, taking to the streets during strikes or in protest at the murder of their children by the police - they are called ignorant people.

And when charlatans blatantly lie with wide grins about the benefits of a political ‘promise’ only to reneg the next day, it’s called ‘politics’.

“Not everyone in America, however, knows a Muslim or a Mexican. Most people, and most voters, do have wives, mothers, sisters or daughters and that’s why this tape touches a nerve, with both sexes, in a way his previous remarks haven’t.”

Really? Is that all it takes? Then why no equal outrage about the murderous killings of women and children in Syria, Yemen, Afganistan, Sudan, Serbia and throughout the world? Are these not wives, mothers, sisters and daughters? Are they not of equal importance to the immigrant base of America?

And women residing in America are also killed and abused. In 2013, more than 1,600 women were murdered by men in USA and the most common weapon used was a gun, according to the new Violence Policy Center (VPC) study When Men Murder Women: An Analysis of 2013 Homicide Data.

There were 2818 women murdered in the USA in 2015. Of these, 61.5% were white! (Source: Statista.com)

Where is the outrage?

I am at a loss to understand the crass selectivity that dictates what I must be angry about. It bothers me!
