It never stops until you stop
Society tells us that you go to work everyday for at least 8 hours, that you work until at least 65 and then and only then do you start to relax. But barely because you are likely crippled from 40+ years of work with on average 3 weeks of vacation per year, or 5.7% of your year dedicated to vacation. Ever check your email while on vacation?
Society also dictates that you fit in. Fit in a role that has you working far more than playing, a significant disparity between work and recharge. It all slowly kills you by tiring you out week after week, month after month, year after year.
It’s really quite remarkable because we’ve been granted the mental capacities to make infinitely ambitious plans, yet we find ourselves in a position of almost no time to put them into practice. Everyday we are teased with what could be, but are too tired or more likely, lack the time to make it happen.
Our society is a gravitational force that resists your minimal efforts to realize what you could be. Let me say that again, our society is a gravitational force that resists your minimal efforts to realize what you could be. So!!!! You need to persist and not pay attention to what everybody else is doing. Don’t follow the herd. It’s simple, just not easy because it takes a lot of guts.
It’s time to say “I’m going to do things my own way, on my own terms, even if it scares the shit out of me, that’s where I’ll find fulfillment and really that’s what I’m after.”
Remember, it’s not wrong to be wrong, it’s wrong to stay wrong.
