An Ode To Straight People During Pride Week
Jesse Boland

So we can pull the tax dollars then?

Representative of the population, on behalf of all communities, come and point guns at me for my money. Some of that money goes to roads, and garbage removal and transit, some of it goes to police, and some of it goes to the pride parade. As long as that happens, I get a say in how that money is spent, that is how our system works. An organization representing a radical fringe ideology should not be allowed to dictate how my money is spent, and that is final. My sexuality, race, gender, religion, or any of my identities don’t change that.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
