In my opinion, you hit all around the issue, without delving much into any of the real meat (pun intended) of the moral debate surrounding meat consumption.
Humans as a species evolved at the ferocious rate we did when meat became more of an attainable staple within our diet; I feel like that much is fairly well documented and accepted.
All-in-all, I think that meat consumption per capita may decrease over the coming years and more research comes out on the negative dietary health consequences of increased meat consumption, particularly red meat.
That said, as population increases, this may keep the market at a bit of an equilibrium.
I do feel that it is important that we incorporate sustainable dietary measures that provide us with whole proteins derived from plant-based sources.
