Oregon is making tougher drug penalties, and I’ve been stuck on a departure sentence for the past 3 and a half years for just trying to survive in a place that has no decent jobs or anything. The timber industry is gone and the mills are shut down or only employ very few workers. low wage jobs are all that is left. Drugs are rampant weed is legal just for state tax money. The system is just recycling me and my friends. I can barely pay rent or wash my clothes. I have to pay my probation officer to watch me, and I payed all my other fees to the courts.
