Wellspring

You get dirty
Digging down for a water well
All covered in muck and mud
Hitting rock — not doing well
But if you give up and stop moving
You’ll be stuck in hell
And bad religion ain’t much to tell
So keep going until you hit the bottom
Knowing you’ll find a Spring
With water to wash all that is rotten and stinks
Water to wash the collected sweat and grime clean
Water to wash those cuts, problems that sting
That is the promise when you’re digging deep
So keep going, every blossom starts from a seed
