Screw Societal Norms

I didn’t go to University.
I never wanted to go.
I have nothing against it, it just didn’t feel right for me.
Which is funny because yesterday I stepped into lecture theatre for the first time… to give a presentation 👨🏫
I was talking to kids in Edinburgh who are taking Business Management, sharing my story and some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way. They asked me for one piece of advice.
My answer: “There’s probably 2–3 of you in this room that feel like they don’t fit the societal norm of school > uni > job.
If that’s you, don’t feel like you have to go down that path.
Do what works for you; not what your friends/family tell you you should do.”
