Purpose, Passion, Vision and Mission
— — Fighting for something and losing or fighting for nothing
Some things in life are just impossible to fight against. I think of the Colorado River when I go to Laughlin NV. There is no way someone can swim against the current of that river. Some things are like that in life; you just have to “go with the flow”. Real life stories of people working “With the system” and others working “against the system”. There may be good enough reasons to try to gum up the system, but it is the system, even if you want to change things, it is best to work with the system when you are going through it.
This is kind of a double edged sword. Do you conform and never cross the river, or do you become the irresistible force and cross anyway. If your purpose is to cross, you will find a way, even if you have to walk a few miles up-stream to find a place with less current, and walk up stream even more after you cross, being swept down the river. If you have enough passion you will be able to cross any river, or over-come any obstacle, even if it seems impossible at first.

When you were a baby, your mother fed you, and told you about the world, but you still explored the world for yourself. Get in touch with your inner child, know yourself, and allow yourself to explore the world around you. The mission was simple, discover the world. You did not know anything was impossible. You did not even know the word no.
One thing that really hits this home to me is something that happened. At a bar-b-q I told my three year old son the grill was hot. “Don’t touch it” I said, “or you will get burned”. I knew the fire and grill was hot, and I figured my son would believe me. Just a couple minutes later, my son touched the grill. He came running to me, crying. He was holding his finger, the pointer. There was a blister on the end of his finger. He was sure that what I said was true.
So the opinion of my perspective of reality was not enough for him, he wanted to know for sure. He had no doubt that the fire was hot. There was no doubt. Just like the now, there is no doubt you are, so there is no reason not to be HAPPY, SUCCESSFUL, and live a GOOD life today. The vision is to know for yourself what is, and what is not. That is what drives the successful you, to know for yourself what everything is.
In as much as I have read many books, and lived my own life, I know that good things are good. Life is good, and it is worth living good, having good, doing good, being good, and thinking good. I am talking about now, today, here…. not later. You are alive now, so now is what you have, so make the best of it, NOW!!!
I am not saying throw logic to the wind. Just as having too many beers might lead to a hangover, it is about knowing the truth. Understanding the world around you, understanding yourself, understanding how you interact with the world, how you can influence your soundings. Make your paradise today, live in paradise now, and act like it is forever always so you can be in the now constantly.
If my son had just accepted my opinion (which we all know all perspectives are skewed) he would have never known his OWN perspective of what is true. I know it is kind of difficult
to grasp, because belief in opinions can make them true, just as Thomas Edison believed there was a filament that would work for the light bulb, so he discovered the truth. A truth that was unknown, but found after belief. I call this the Faith affect.
Just as you can manifest the good by believing and acting, so can you bring the negative into your life? That is why it is so important that you discern what is good and bad. Identify good and project it, identify bad and protect against it. Understand, identify, and ACT, what good is understanding if there is no action. Like my chiropractor told me (one of his many quotations for health),
INFORMATION + ACTION = POWER, just remember that power can have positive and negative effects on your life and your success. Discern which information you act on, and ensure you have the best perspective(s) to judge the information you get.
