I agree with some aspects of the sentiment here but I think we need to be careful. Design is a critical aspect of product development along with the other disciplines such as engineering, marketing etc. If we throw the Design label on everyone’s contribution we risk alienating them in the sense that we could be perceived as trying to lump their contributions under our own umbrella. I know that’s not what you are trying to say but I feel it could be misconstrued that way. It’s tricky.
From where I sit, I simply want my teammates to recognize when/where a UX/Design problem exists so we can work on it together. This helps us meet the goal of great UX/Design together through collaboration that brings our respective disciplines together.
